The National Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center opened in December 2003 on the grounds of Washington Dulles International Airport. The new museum houses rarely seen aircraft such as the Space Shuttle Enterprise and an SR-71 Blackbird. Plans are underway for the National Army museum which will be located at Fort Belvoir and will house artifacts from the colonial times to the modern day. Directions to the Steven F.
